Privacy policy

Last updated: June 2026

This policy explains what personal information we handle through this website, why we handle it, and the choices you have. It covers the website only. Work we do under a signed engagement is also governed by that agreement.

Who we are

Elevatek is a trade name of Elevatek Consulting Inc., a go-to-market systems consultancy incorporated in Québec, Canada. We decide why and how your information is handled, which makes us responsible for it under Canadian privacy law. For anything privacy-related, email info@elevatek.ca. Our privacy officer can be reached at the same address.

What information we collect

Information you give us. When you use the contact form, we receive what you type: your name, work email, company, role, the tools in your stack, and your message. When you subscribe to the newsletter, we keep your email address. If you book a call, you enter your details in our scheduling tool to set up the meeting.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider, Netlify, keeps standard server logs for visits to the site. These can include your IP address, browser type, the pages you open, and the date and time. We use them to keep the site running and secure, not to identify you.

Why we collect it

We use your information to reply to you, to scope and deliver the consulting work you ask us about, and to send the newsletter you signed up for. That is all we use it for. We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We don't share your information except with the service providers that help us run the site and our work. Each one only processes your data to provide its service to us, and only as far as that needs.

  • Hosting and forms: Netlify hosts the site and receives contact-form and newsletter submissions through Netlify Forms.
  • Email and newsletter delivery: a dedicated provider is not yet in place; for now, newsletter sign-ups are held with the form submissions above.
  • Scheduling: if you book a call, Calendly receives the details you enter to arrange the meeting.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4, and only if you accept analytics cookies. Google receives anonymous usage data to provide the analytics service; nothing loads until you consent.

How long we keep it

We keep contact submissions for as long as we need them to handle your request and any engagement that follows, then dispose of them. We keep newsletter emails until you unsubscribe, which you can do from any issue.

Where it's processed

Some of our providers may store or process your information outside Canada, including in the United States. Québec's Law 25 asks us to tell you when that can happen, so we're telling you here. If you'd like more detail before you send us anything, email us first.

Your rights under PIPEDA and Law 25

Under Canada's PIPEDA and Québec's Law 25, you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and withdraw a consent you gave us — for example, by unsubscribing. To exercise any of these, email info@elevatek.ca. We'll confirm your identity, respond within the time the law allows, and tell you if there's any reason we can't act on a request.

Cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — which pages people open, roughly where visits come from, and how people move through the site. It sets cookies and shares that usage data with Google. These cookies are off until you accept them: nothing analytics-related loads before you consent in our cookie banner, and choosing decline keeps it off. We don't use advertising cookies and don't profile you across other sites. You can change or withdraw your choice any time through the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the effective date at the top. A meaningful change will be clear from that date.
